I'll be getting married in New Orleans in October; I'm marrying a Louisianan whose lived in Texas for the past five years - so we're not as 'up' on this local stuff as we'd like to be. Ideally, we want a caterer to do a 'small' dinner for after the wedding (between 25 - 40 people). We love New Orleans cuisine, and really would like a more personal cooking touch to our day! For example, my fiance sometimes goes to dinners here in TX, at a bar where this woman makes incredible German food for 'beer dinners' they host - we want to try and seek out someone like that, but with a New Orleans twist; any ideas? Something like that is our first choice. As far as having the reception at an actual restaurant - I have looked over this board and found recommendations for Bella Luna, Best of Susan & Gautreau's.....any thoughts/info on the catering and/or these choices would be greatly appreciated.
