Catering food - delivered to home

Han Lukito | Mar 19, 200207:48 PM

I feel so lucky to be catered by this lady everyday M-F. She cooked authentic traditional Indonesian dishes in her home and deliver the food for people in Hayward area. Since we cooked our own rice, we get more amount of the entree.

Today we got rawon soup which is a black colored soup with bits of beef. The broth is beef stock with spices of black Indonesian nuts(kluwek), cloves, candlenuts, garlics and shallots. It is served with bean sprouts and some crackers. Absolutely delicious and unstoppable. Then we got the bakwan udang which is basically shrimp fritters.

Yesterday, we got gulai otak which is cow brain in a tumeric (yellowish) based sauce that taste like tofu in a delicious slightly spicy sweet sauce. We also got a tempeh with bits of green chiles and peteh (green stinky beans) that was perfect just like in Indonesia.

I wonder if others have catering for their home ?

Mine only cost $200 per month which includes free delivery and it feeds 4 of us.
