Hi everyone! I'm super new to Chowhound, but I'm so glad I found it!
I got engaged a few weeks ago and we're planning to get hitched in Palm Springs...in October...of 2012! I know...we've got a gang of time. But I've been looking for caterers to get a rough idea of what our budget should look like, and I'm having a little difficulty finding anything. We want to grill fish, chicken, maybe steak too, fresh corn and in-season veggies, and minimal sides. We don't want western bbq, and no mac& cheese or baked beans - just simple & delicious grilled food. A friend mentioned hiring a "grill chef" which sounds perfect, but I have no idea how to go about that.
I suppose whoever we go with could be based out of Los Angeles, rather than Palm Springs, but not sure if that will tack on a ton of extra cost. Trying to keep around (less than) $20/pp. Umm...that could be just crazy... Any ideas? Thanks, in advance!!!
