In the C19 gap and a bit later we got to a few restaurants, not just take out. So some current comments.
Brown Butter is still it's consistant self with maybe a slighly shorted menu. The burgers, fries, and fried pickles are still great for relaxed meal, and the service has always been good. The outside table allowed us to bring the dog along.
Mosca's got a little interior face lift but is still the same. The stuff that has been good for 50 years is still good, buttery and garlicky. And family dining makes putting together a party of 6 or 8 more fun. As a party of of 6 we decided on Uber/Lyft out and that was no problem. But getting someone out there later in the evening was. It took about 30 minutes=one trip to the bar, when we finally got our fall back position United Cab. He did not turn on the meter on the way back but we were in no position to argue, In the end he took a longer but more fun route back and charged us $10 more than the Uber ride out. Masks were about 50%
Brigtsen's was not on my favorite list after an experience a few years ago where the food was average and the service at an Outback part time student waitstaff level. A few weeks ago was much better. Masks required in and out. The concern is that the rooms are small. While there appears to be one less table in each room things are a little close if that bothers you.
The food was New Orleans food at it's best. Fish, duck, seafood platter, cocktails and wines all good, as was the service. No problem returning there.
After getting great reviews from family we went to Marjies on Broad Street. What a great adventure! A Mosca's for Millennials as you really want to go with at least 4 people and all order different dishes to share. That way you get to try the amazing spread of tastes and textures. Almost everything is grilled over coals which you would expect in a place that is serving you kicked up versions of Asian street . Two people that don't like okra tasted the grilled okra dish and were pleased. And the cocktails were good along with a very different wine list.
Masks necessary but the tables were very widely spread. There will be a trip back there.
