I'll be visiting in a few weeks and looking forward to trying things I can't get at home (Phoenix, Arizona); staying downtown but will travel for something great. We'll have a well behaved 2-year-old with us, so we can't do anything too fancy, but would prefer to avoid big chains or overtly "family dining" type burger-and-sandwich places.
I've written down a LOT of dim sum and izakaya places already from this board; any other suggestions? Other types of unusual "ethnic" places would be great, or interesting (non-fried) seafood.
Would Chambar, Salt Tasting Room, and Vij's be the wrong place for a toddler, even if we go as soon as they open? Our girl is quiet, but we don't want to offend anyone.
