Casual Sunday Brunch in east village or lower east side

GregoryH | Jan 14, 2005 01:51 PM

I am looking for a spot for brunch with the Parents this sunday. Noise level is a bit of an issue as dad is losing his hearing (their baby boomers not geezers and totally open to interesting places).

Nothing super fancy necessary, eggs french toast, good coffee, good room that takes reservations or doesn't have an exorbitant wait.

I was thinking General Store on ave B (i love their eggs with pepper cured salmon)
or maybe Mud on 9th st between 1st and 2nd (though the wait is an issue there, and a little too crowded)

What about Clinton Street Baking?

anything over on ludlow or orchard worth checking out?

thanks,
gregory
