Hello to all,
Some of my parents' friends are visiting this weekend, and they've asked me to find a casual restaurant where the eight of us (no kids, so that's not a criterion) could have dinner on Saturday. My mother would like to show them around the Place des Festivals, so the restaurant should ideally be within walking distance (not further than the Old Montreal).
Regarding budget, I believe they don't want to spend more than they would at The Keg (where we usually end up eating when they're in town). A BYO would definitely be appreciated.
One of my father's friends has suggested Da Emma, which I've found a pretty good review of on the board, but Yelp had somewhat mixed reviews which somewhat worried me. I also know the Old Port doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to price to quality ratio (tourist trap is the expression that comes to my mind...).
I've already suggested La Colombe and Monsieur B., but my mother thinks they might not be casual enough...
