I am hosting a casual dinner party on Saturday night at 6pm in honor of my FIL's birthday. There will be about 15 adults and a couple children. As I have a 21 month old myself, I am trying to stick to make ahead food, and set it and forget it recipes.
For "main dishes" I have decided to roast a beef tenderloin for sliders, and also roast a Turducken, which I think will be fun and unique for this group. All food will be buffet style, and I'd like to make it as casual and "non-full meal-esque" as possible. (ie: I'd rather have guest graze than load up a plate all at once, if at all possible)
I'm looking for make-ahead ideas for food to accompany the tenderloin sliders and turducken, that are easy to eat.
It will be a cold, fall evening...All suggestions are appreciated!
