Casual Birthday dinner - Ellicott City / Columbia / Baltimore - lots of restrictions :(

OK, got a tall order here...I have been tasked with planning a birthday dinner for 4-6 people, casual (think "nice" jeans and a decent shirt), on Monday Dec 26, with a very picky birthday celebrant.

A seafood restaurant or steak place would be good. On a few outings I have observed this person enjoy prime rib, oysters, scallops, shrimp, and a hamburger. The only Baltimore area places I have been with this person are Mama's and Cantler's, and the reaction to both was positive. Might just go back to Mama's.

The following are off limits:

* Italian
* Anything "ethnic" other than tex mex type stuff
* Fish (though shellfish are OK, good actually)
* Any place that's "fancy"/intricate in their preparations, or make it appear as such on the menu (Brewer's Art is a good example of a place I like that this person would hate)
* Barbecue

The celebrant is flying halfway around the world very early the following morning and doesn't want to do anything too involved (dressy or far). Baltimore would be OK but Ellicott City/Columbia area is better.

Can always go back to Mama's but would like to do something different for this person.

And of course it has to be open Monday's.

Any ideas here? I'm stumped! Thanks so much for your help.
