I looked at my chowpup this morning and was awed by how he's grown. And for the first time in his life I thought I might now be ready to revisit some past loves and address some past regrets (the job of parenting still being #1 but I see a small chance for some "me" time)
One regret is never getting a good cast iron skillet going in my kitchen.
I've adopted a few but don't know thier history and I feel I'm not getting the most out of them.
I want to start at square one, which I'm told is best found at a small, local hardware store (circa 1973) good quality, small price. So I'm thinking Koontz (sp?) hardware on S.M Blvd. in WeHo.
I don't mind driving, but I do mind driving around and not finding.
Any cast iron goddesses or gods have any advise, please ?
I know this is a tad off this board, but it is an L.A. food need.
