Cast Iron Pizza

HungryMike23 | Nov 30, 201806:55 AM     7

I'm ever in search of the best pizza recipe to give me a thick-ish pan-like crust that is crispy and delicious. Have never been successful at making something myself that turns out this way despite repeated attempts including using my cast iron. So when I came across this receipt it piqued my interest and got my attention. Anyone tried this or similar with good results? At first I wasn't thrilled about the idea of draping and pressing dough into a hot cast iron right off the stove but then I watched the video and it doesn't look as precarious as I had imagined. And the technique makes a lot of sense to me to start with a really hot oven and baking vessel.

Cast Iron Skillet Pizza, Where Have You Been All Our Lives?

Thanks to a store-bought dough and a screaming-hot cast-iron skillet, weeknight pizza just got a whole lot better.
