I'm making my annual cassoulet and am wondering how to cook the bean mixture in my slow cooker. At what temp for how many hours? I'm guessing Low for 3 hours or so. Here are the regular instructions:
4 Cups/2 lbs small white beans or Great Northern beans
6 C Water
1/2 lb salt pork, cut in 1/2 in cubes
1 large onion, minced
5 tsp. salt
1 lb fully cooked sausage (Hillshire Farms Kielbasa)
Rinse and pick over beans, soak overnight in cold water to cover. Drain and rinse.
Place them in large dutch oven.
Add water, salt pork, onions, and garlic.
Simmer slowly until beans are tender
