This is a little known gem. I believe it used to be a Spanish restaurant known as Granduca's. The name is not on the sign, only "Ristorante". (221 Smith St.)We found it after seeing the sign for Neopolitan sangria, which is worth the trip by itself (the white is better). Their bufula mozzarella is among the best in NYC. The salads are all good, as are the pastas, but the real treat is the pizza. It is among the best brick oven in the city, made by Luciano Povarotti's personal pizza chef.
