Carrillo's handmade tortillas

Inspired by the thread on fresh tortillas, my mother and I had lunch at Carrillo's in San Fernando yesterday. We both ordered huevos rancheros. I asked the counter person how the eggs were cooked and she said we could have them any way we liked. We ordered them medium and that's how they were done.

The sauce was very good and mild (which pleased my mother). Those looking for spicy will have to ask for salsa, which did not come with. Rice and beans are included and the amount of food was far more than either of us could finish; we could have shared one plate. Three foil wrapped tortillas were included and we were given the choice of corn or flour; we both chose corn. The tortillas are delicious, but a little thicker than I would like; however, good enough to order a dozen to take home for $3.00.

The food is good, but the ambiance not so much. Bare bones counter ordering, plastic booths, large screen TVs - don't plan your dinner party here.
