Carousel in Glendale review

I finally got a chance to Carousel this afternoon. I really like dthis place. I am a vegetarian and Carousel had much more than just Falafels. First off, the restaurant was well decorated and super clean. THe staf was very courteous and attentive. A friend and I ordered Hummus, Mutabbal / Baba Ganouj, Tabouleh, Veggie Kibbeh / Kofta, Veggie Moussaka with Bulgar what, and a chicken kabob dish. THe hummus was perfect! THe Baba ganouj was perfect. Nice and creamy but you can taste the difference betewen it and the hummus. THe Veggie kibbeh was to die for. It was a fried fritter with a bulgar wheat shell filled with amazing veggies, spices, garlic, and olives. It was covered with a spicy tomato based sauce. I cant tell you how the chicken dish was, but the the mousaka was quite good. THE bulgar wheat side dish was excellent. Flavorful and a good replacement to a pilaf.

All in all, I was impressed with the food. Much better than i thought, especially for a vegetarian. The prices were higher than most smaller lebanese/middle eastern cafes, but I think it was worth it.
