Yet another Carmel/Monterey question

My boyfriend and I are taking a getaway to the Monterey area in a couple weeks. We'll have two nights, and one of those HAS to be Passionfish. I have to thank the board for that one -- We always love it, and BF is the type who sticks to what he likes.

For the other dinner, I'm looking for something more "wintry/cozy" but not fine dining. We like the niceness level of Passionfish. A little nicer is fine, but nothing too fancy. Mostly, I want something that will be a little different from the "light, cool" ambiance of Passionfish. From reading the board, I'm considering Bouchee, Tarpey's Roadhouse, and the White House. Any thoughts on these or other recommendations?

Also, we usually do picnic lunches, but we might get too cold on the beach all day. Any recommendations for casual, not-too-pricy lunches or snacks in Carmel?

Thanks in advance!
