The fettucine breaks bluntly with a hint of snap. Fettucine alla Marysa brings a rich and tangy tomato sauce with good firm bite-sized pieces of veal, spicy slices of pepperoni-like cured meat, not exactly prosciutto. Could use more onions and peas for extra sweetness to balance the tomato. I enriched my dish a little by spooning more olive oil over the pasta from the bread dipping dish. No Trattoria Toscana by any means, but a homey, satisyfing meal all the same.
P.S. Hanmaru (hope I got the spelling correct) is a new Korean place that just opened about 5 days ago. It's on Harvard Ave, next to Color. Serves the usual Korean appetizers, noodles, rice dishes and grilled meats. But also an interesting section with stews sized for 2. Anyone tried?
