Well, it happened again this weekend--twice.
First at La Louisianne at dinner. We had to ask for refills on water EVERY time our glasses were empty. The ice tea I ordered only came because I got up and insisted someone get it. When the okra crab gumbo arrived I was given no utensils to open the crab. (I then had to ask for extra napkins too.) Coffee after dinner--no refills were ever offered.
Sunday night at a major steakhouse--had to ask THREE TIMES for a steakknife--at a steakhouse! (Management was smart enough to leave pitchers of water on the table as they probably knew the staff would never return.) This has become the norm! No one serving in Seattle restaurants gives a damn about the customer. (It's as if its too much trouble that you're even there.)
I can count good service in Seattle on one hand:
Flemings, The Dahlia Lounge, Kasper's, Morton's and Shiro's. Otherwise, this town is a service wasteland.
