Last Friday I had a perfectly spectacular dish at Bubala's in Provincetown. Mussells and chorizo (Portuguese sausage) cooked in cream and fennel. I asked for bread and got a nice basket of the peasant-y crusty stuff that's perfect for sopping.
Legal Sea Food restaurants (3 different ones) in the Boston area were outstanding...the ciopinno near Framingham nearly did me in (generous quantities of seafood swimming in a modest tomato broth), and at the Long Wharf location in the North End of Boston, I received a plum-sized dollop of Scharffen Berger chocolate ice cream free. Also found same chocolate bars in Java, a P-town coffee shop.
A great, great vacation. Now back to work here in Asheville.
