O Cantinho De Portugal [London]

So after finally getting a bunch of my friends to come to Brixton market, we all ate at Cantinho. It was good. It was very very good and we enjoyed it a lot.

Beers are 1.60 and the house wine is 10 quid a bottle. While we didn't order much, this was good for our budget. Also, I managed to take out two birds with one stone as they had rabbit as a special! It was excellent rabbit too! I had rabbit stewed in a tomato based sauce which was flavored with and contained bits of pork. Delicious and 9 pounds for a very large amount of food. The bread was good as far as restaurants go, I love the little packets of sardine pate (I took so many...) and I haven't had olives of any quality since Christmas. Everyone else enjoyed their food which included various pork dishes, a vegetarian pasta dish (cooked al dente), mackerel and another fish dish. All in all, it was delicious and good for the value. The service is excellent and we were treated very nicely. Despite the fact that we more or less only drank tap water, our pitchers were refilled constantly and our bread was too. Excellent experience.

I'll check out the place on Brixton Station Rd soon since the bacalhao is 5 quid there.

Thanks for the recc

Justin
