I've always loved Muir Glen canned tomatoes, but I've heard so much about San Marzano lately. So of course I had to run out and buy some, but I haven't done anything with them yet (because I still have a lot of leftover Muir Glen sauce). Since I can't find out this minute what I think, I want to know other people's opinions.
Has anyone else tried and/or been partial to Muir Glen and/or San Marzano? Is there a consensus on this issue? I know a lot of sources say you should always get Italian canned tomatoes, but then others say that organic domestic ones are always fresher than anything that's had to be shipped over, and therefore tastier.
