Canadian hound with a month in DC

Guorilla | Jul 27, 201210:47 AM     9

Never posted on the board before, but I live in St. John's, Newfoundland so there's not too much to post about.

I'm living in DC for the month for a course, staying in Dupont Circle. My favourite places are holes-in-the-wall for reasonably-priced, delicious eats, though I'm not averse to more upmarket joints. The limiting factor is the metro, I don't really have access to a car for a road trip, so I can't make it to Baltimore for crab.

I'm particularly interested in stuff I can't get much of back home, like southern-style food (good fried chicken - I got Freddy's lobster, Black Rooster pub, and Founding Farmers from the forum), and of course crab. I had trouble finding much info on good crab in or close to DC, and I'll accept if it's not available, as decent BBQ apparently isn't, but I figured I'd just ask specifically.
