Canadian Breakfast

I came across a request for breakfast suggestions other than French Toast etc. If you would like to have some easy but a little different try a newer version of French Toast.

Normally the egg mixture for French Toast is mixed with a little milk and then beat together before the bread is dipped into it. I make a small change in that mixture. I omit the milk and use orange juice instead. Plus, I add a little nutmeg to the egg mixture. Cook in the usual fashion.

When I make this for guests, I'm always asked,"How did you make this?" One more thing. I never serve anything but REAL maple syrup and real butter. You just can't beat the real thing!

An additional thought. You might try a bit of lemon juice added to the orange juice.
