Today I had a superb slice of pizza in Weston center of all places. This must be a branch of the Campo di Fiore in Holyoke Center, Harvard Square?
Also had a taste of my colleague's chicken stew with spinach, orzo and (a bit of hot pepper flakes) that was delightful -- tender mouthfuls of dark meat chicken, not at all greasy.
But that crispy, chewy thin crust --!! Now I see what all the fuss is about. They serve the square slices- about one square foot in size. Very vivid oregano decorating the topping of thin-sliced fresh tomato, onion, and a wee bit of cheese. No glop factor at all.
But I am raving on -- and me not even a pizza fan!
(for those who don't know this place, it's right in Weston Center but in a building that is set back from the street, behind the bright salmon-colored clapboard building. Sorry, the color is hard to describe but vivid. Campo di Fiore is in a building with a Sovereign Bank and maybe a Brueggers Bagel? Fuzzy on the details as I was hungry at the time and had eyes only for C di F.)
