Pressed for time but in the area, we decided to stop in for an early dinner at Campania. One of the dinners was the Crispy Duck Confit and the other was the Pappardelle Bolognese. We always felt this was an above average restaurant, and maybe we hit a bad night but just didn't feel as though it measured up to what it used to be. The Bolognese was sweet and very tomatoey, not saying it was bad, but not what we've come to expect from their pasta dishes. The Duck Confit was not crispy at all, again not that it was bad, it was just not that good. Came time to pay the bill and when the waitress came back with our change, she said it was was short .50 because they didn't have the change. Not that .50 is going to break us, but never in all the years we've been dining has anyone ever done that.
