Camino Sur

Had to let those who are desperate for something good in the Garment District, (and those who are willing to travel), that Camino Sur, which opened last week, is really wonderful.

I had lobster stew (a lot of lobster meat and very hearty for $10 or $12), followed by an arepa with duck confit and frisee. Fabulous. The stew was hearty, not creamy, with grains and potatoes.

I am under the impression that they change the menu daily, as some friends who ate there the day before had a different selection of soups.

An interesting selection of South American fare, (okay, I have no idea what's authentic). Nice room.

They also have music at night and on the weekend.
