Is there anything good around here? Especially in porter county?

I'll give you my thoughts on some places I have been lately:

I checked out taste of thailand in chesterton. I went there on a date, and the place is really nice inside. But the food was mediocre. The rice was way over cooked, and they really skimp on the meat in the curries. It gave me unreasonable heartburn, but i don't know why, because their curry dishes aren't even spicy. I think they just lack authenticity.

Kosmo's in Valpo has become my breakfast spot. Awesome biscuits and gravy, two eggs, and hashbrowns, all perfectly cooked, for $3. Its also a good place for lunch, but they close at two.

I stopped at El Amigo in Valpo because it was the only thing that wasn't a franchise open at 1 am. Its authentic, quality mexican food. Their huge burritos are still only $3.15. I had one with steak and guacamole and it was excellent. I stopped at a similar place Michigan City that was in a Hot and Now building on Franklin. It was basically the same, but twice the price.

Aurelios has terrible pizza. I think it might be a chain, or there is just be a couple in this area. I had it at a friend's house. Their thin crust isn't thin at all, and its extremely salty.

CT works deep dish pizza has real chicago style deep dish pizza. Its in valpo on calumet at the glendale intersection. Their deep dish is nothing new, just a chicago pizza like gino's. Its probably the best quality pizza in valpo though. They also have thin crust "gourmet" pizzas that i'll have to try next time.

Main Street pizza in kouts has the best italian beef sandwich, hands down. Its mild with plenty of cheese on crusty bread. The swiss garlic melt is an excellent variation of the italian beef.

Has anyone tried Ramsey's Landing in Hebron? What about the Great Kankekee Hunt Club in Hanna? You suggestions on what places to check out (preferably cheap) would be greatly appreciated.
