Well, I who is usually in the Boston area is lucky enough to be in Berkeley, California, land of plenty, and more important, land in which east coast blizzards don't happen! I was in a fabulous store full of amazing produce, and stumbled upon these very cute nuts called Caltrap nuts. They look just like longhorn steer, only about 1.5 inches across. I was told they are poisonous unless boiled and that they taste like chestnuts. Can others clue me in on these strange nuts and how I should cook the ones I bought?
