A few days ago I had lunch at a Korean rest. DC and I ordered a few sushi before our Korean barbeque. We had Toro and Uni. Well, I had an excellent Toro sushi here before but this time it came and looked like pork belly!! It had thick white pieces of fat connected to the meat of the tuna. DC who is a VERY, I repeat VERY adventuresome diner, had never seen this before either and both of us couldn't eat the white parts as it was very hard and reminded me of the thick fat one would find on beef. What is up with this???? Is that normal for Toro? I've only had it once perhaps twice before so I don't know. Thanks!!
