I accidentally deleted your e-mail to me about the Oaxaca cooking class. No, Sept. 27th isn't a go. The facility wasn't available, and the guy that was going to be my sous has a family obligation that day.
Beginning Sept. 21st my Sunday's are booked for the next 8 weeks, and I know you said Saturdays are hard for you to swing.
For the rest of you chowhounds out there, Prof. Salt had asked if I was still going to do a class on Oaxacan cooking as I had posted last Spring. Life and work have intervened since the which put the class on the back burner.
Anyone interested in this class plese contact me at the e-mail above and let me know which dates will work for you - October 18th or the 25th, or would you rather wait until November when I can do it on a Sunday. The class will include mole coloradito, mole verde and probably a couple of salsas and Susanna Trilling's Chocolate Bread Pudding (which is to die for). There would be space available for about 5-6 people and cost would be somewhere between $25-35. Location would *probably* be in the vicinity of City College. If there is enough interest, we can agree on a date and I can secure the location, I'll do it. Just let me know.
