My husband has been wanting a sour cream coffee cake, and since family is coming tomorrow, this is a good time.
I have a bunch of recipes, and one that looked very good, clipped from either Bon Appetit or Epicurious, calls for 4 and 1/2 teaspoons baking soda and 4 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder. It does use 3 cups of flour, 2 sticks of butter, and 2 cups of sour cream, making a large cake.
It just sounds like so much baking soda and baking powder. Can this be right? I would like to try this recipe, but am worried that maybe there was a misprint.
I could use some quick advice!
