Second Call - Thanksgiving in SD area & pumpkin pie

Stanley Stephan | Nov 3, 2003 02:51 PM

OK, I'll be a bit more serious this time ... where is a good place for Thanksgiving Brunch/Dinner in the San Diego Area?

Also, there is a lot of pie being sold in this area, but so far the pies I've tried are adequate at best. Is there a place for good pumpkin pie?

A suggestion for the Marine Room in La Jolla would make me happy, but not my group. I'm looking for nice, but probably a buffet type of deal. Since I'm picking up the tab, I'd have to do a fight about an a la carte menu that was too pricy. I don't mind spending up to $75 per person, but the price needs to be not too obvious to my guests. Of course, less expensive is nice too. I just don't want to end up at Sizzler.

Sign on San Diego mentions
The Westgate Hotel
Hotel Del Coronado
Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

They also tell me to come back and visit the site in November for more info ... uh, isn't it November. When do places start advertising in the papers about Thanksgiving Dinner?
