First off, yes I am one of those people. I made a birthday cake for my dog. For some reason it barely rose at all. At first I was thinking by baking soda was past its prime, but I had just used it to make a bunch of loaves of soda bread 3 days ago and they turned out fine. Does the problem lie with the recipe (link below)? I used a greased non stick cake pan and I have an oven thermometer. I have never had this happen before. Just looking for some advice. Thanks.
