I just went to 5! supermarkets (Gristede's. D'Agostino's, Food Emporium, Western Beef and Victoria) looking for plain, not self rising cake flour. All anyone had except for Victoria, finally, was Self Rising Presto cake flour. I prefer Swan's Down, but don't really care what brand as long as it is NOT self rising.
This also happened the last 2 times I needed cake flour.
Does anyone know why there is a shortage, and does anyone have a reliable source?
