Cajun Restaurants in Indiana

Cajun Dan | Aug 22, 2003 02:27 PM

Being from South Louisiana and raised in the Cajun Culture it baffles me when someone visits the state for a year then purports to be Cajun and opens a Cajun Restaurant. Case in point, Gumbo A Go Go. This place is no where NEAR being a Cajun Restaurant. The food is lack luster and the recipes are bastardized to resemble Cajun. His "World Famous Chicken Etouffee" has no validity. I asked him why it was world famous and he said, "Because it's my wife's favorite recipe"!
The food is terrible by Cajun standards!
Now if you want REAL Cajun food in Indiana...Zydeco's is the only game around! Deb and Carter are for real and Carter is one of my homeys from South Lousiana! Mooresville and Monreauvia!! Great Food and real Cajun Recipes!!!

Accept no Cajun Frauds!!!

And if you want to try cooking Cajun at home you need 2 things, Recipes and Spices, get them both at
