Hi,

I'm new to this board, so please excuse any gaffes.

Caffe Venezia offers a fixed-price dinner for $16. Includes soup/salad, entree, and dessert. I had salad, pasta, and sorbet. The salad was frisee with pancetta lardons, summer corn, and a vinaigrette. Pasta was green pappardelle with asparagus and artichokes. The blackberry sorbet had not just sweetness but good berry taste. The chocolate cake my friend chose instead was a generous portion. Each dish was very good, and all for the amount some places charge for an entree! The place has good service and on-street parking, public will get you there as well. In Berkeley, on University Avenue.

The fixed price menu changes every two weeks, according to the restaurant's web site.

Highly recommended.

Happy Chowing!
