A friend chose that for his b-day dinner and we had a pleasant dinner there Sat. It's gotten really pretty around that stretch of Washington St. and of course, the view of the church adds to it. Started with a drink at the Red Fez a couple blocks down, nice room, quite large with outdoor seating too. I never knew it in its early funky time but need to check out the menu soon. Sat by the window in the bar area of CU, had a nice waiter, room was pretty busy. Bread was delicious, from Pain D'Avignon he said. We split a homemade sausage app. w/ warm potato salad, very good sausages. He had their steak w/ horseradish mashed potato and I had a pork dish that had unadvertised stuffing, came with roast potatos and some greens. I had a pear/raspberry cobbler and he had apple tarte in a cornmeal crust w/ butterscotch ice cream I think. I didn't need a whole dessert but they were both very good. With 2 glasses of wine, it came to $105 w/ tax and tip. I don't think it's as good as her former restaurant the Mercury Bar which I loved, but we had a fun time.
