Cafe D service

To me, service is only slightly second to the quality of the meal. Bad service can ruin an otherwise wonderful meal. I ate at Cafe D in Jamaica Plain for the first time last night (Saturday). After a beautiful, sunny day, my dinner companions and I were in a great mood. We walked in and the place -- as it has been since it opened -- was bustling and electric. We were seated, and right away our waiter gave off a bad vibe. Impatient, unsmiling and sarcastic. The sad thing is, I really enjoyed the meal and so did my friends. I would like to return to try other dishes (after all, I live within walking distance), but honestly, the guy put a cloud over the night. I don't know how managers in restaurants allow this kind of thing to happen, especially in a new establishment. As is my habit, I will be contacting the management about this server.
