Cafe Rolle In Sacto (the big tomatoe)

Had lunch at Cafe Rolle a couple of times recently and liked it. They have been open about three years now I guess. I just found them. What caught my eye was that they served Foie Gras. Hard to impossible to find in Sacramento. This is the first time I've had Foie Gras so I have nothing to compare it to. I've read reviews in many places and they didn't commit the errors that seem to cause the main complaints. It was trimmed properly, no rude veins to annoy. To be fair I'm one of those that like offal or the organ foods. I like liver and onions, menudo, the tripe dish at the Dim Sum joint etc.
In my opinion this was delicious. It's served as a salad with varied salad greens and some slices of a fresh baguette with a big thick slice of Foie Gras. You spread it on the bread like butter and wash it down with white (for me) wine.
They have lots of sandwiches with brie cheese, salads,
pate, and a half dozen Croque Monsieur sandwiches.
Salad at $12, a couple of glasses of wine at $6 (they don't have half bottles or carafes) so about $24,add tx and tip. I did't say it was cheap. Very French orientated. Very good.
My only complaint is they don't serve sweetbreads.
