I ate at 69 tonight and was disappointed by the mediocre food. The salad was pleasant to start but the pizza was a glorified boboli, the hot dogs were skinny and scrawny and the fried chicken and curly fries were greasy. Those of you with children could tell by now that I had mine with me. Say what you will about Cafe Pongo, but, the food was original and fresh tasting.
It is a shame that after putting such an incredible effort into renovating the space, the food seems to be an afterthought.
