Cafe Mingala - UES Burmese

Thought I would add a datapoint about ths place in case any Hound considers trying it.

We didnt have high expectations since our prior Mahattan Burmese experiences, including a downtown Mingala were not so great, but it was convenient... in sum, the food was decent, better than edible but not worth a visit if you are really looking for burmese food. Bland, bland seasoning (we should have asked for spicy or for condients but were in a hurry), tea leaf salad that was sprightly but with no discernible tea leaves and again underseasoned, night market noodles with no duck evident and no garnishes, scallions, cilantro, lemon slice etc anywhere., We will leave it to other hopeful souls to see if more could be obtained with more interaction, but I really think they are running on empty..
