I've written about how much I like this little Seal Beach gem for breakfast, but they're now open for dinner. Three of us ate there last night, and had very satisfying meals. My hanger steak special was a real deal at $13.95 - meat done perfectly, with a mound of delicious mashed potatoes and a very generous serving of herbed fresh veggies. My sister and brother each had a pasta (one was a mixed mushroom with light cream sauce and the other had chicken with a tasty red sauce), which came with soup or salad. The cream of chicken and lemon soup is really delicious; not quite as tangy as Greek avgolemono. We had a bottle of Ballantine merlot (I think), which went very nicely with the meal. With tax and tip, we got out of there for $86 (with leftovers - portions are more than ample). This is not haute or nouvelle cuisine, but definitely a good choice for a meal where the concern is freshness, taste and quality. Open til 8 for dinner.
