Cafe Juanita has been a favorite of mine for years; however they have fallen into the trap of the "small plate." This is not a trend which is favorable to consumers. Last night I ordered the Oregon Saddle of Lamb for $27 and received a plate with TWO bites of lamb on it. Each piece was equivalent to 1 inch diameter and 1 inch tall. At what point do we cry "foul?" Should I have asked the waiter if the cook was joking? What if there had been one piece? Would I then have been justified in refusing the $27 price tag? How small should we allow the portions to get before we complain?
