Great ambiance and vibe at this cafe located at corner of Waller and Fillmore--not apparent at Pascal Rigo's other places. Yesterday, happy hour 4-7 featured 20 oz draft beers for $3.50 (reg. $4.50), lots of interesting small plates to nibble (including home made potato chips for $2; and Chez Nous-like signature Tortilla Espanola). Small combo was beginning at 5:30 when we departed---very interesting crowd of hipsters, moms with babies, left-over SF marathoners (one a 59 year old woman who had finished her 20th marathon!) all enjoying the Parisian feel. Looks like they are serving "Cafe Fanny" style bowls of cappuchino and offer brunch items and Rigo pastry as well. After Happy Hour and with one parking, dinner then possible across the street at old standby (who I noted did not make the SF Chron 100 this year for the first time) Thep Phanom Thai food--great ingredients, but pricey meal of 4 small Corn and Chicken Rolls $7; small plates of Beef Salad @$12; Chicken Curry @$12 and rice) or India Clay Oven.
