Cafe Classico Great Neck--what's a diner to do?

citified | Aug 11, 2005 11:24 AM

Situation:
Lunch at Cafe Classico 76 Middle Neck Rd. Great Neck yesterday; ordered "shrimp salad over avocado". Received basically chopped celery over a split avocado with MAYBE one shrimp so finely diced that it really was a celery salad. Waiter asked, was everything alright? I replied, this isn't shrimp salad, its celery with a shrimp finely chopped in. He asked if I wanted to see the manager/owner. I replied yes. Manager/owner (Greg Ciriello) never came over. After paying the bill, we sought out the owner and informed him and he denies what we say and says virtually too bad.
My question is--are there recommendations out there in foodland for what a person should do in such a situation?
