Last time we had Café Brulot, I think a few years ago at Antoine's, we did not get what I'll call the Full Presentation, with the multiple bowls and pouring the flaming brandy down the long strip of orange peel.
It was disappointing, as we had been telling our traveling companions about how special Café Brulot was.
Of course as occasional tourists we don't know servers at the restaurants. But now I'm wondering if we got the abbreviated version because we didn't know a server, or if the Full Presentation isn't done any more? Is it just too much to hope for these days?
Any advice on where and how to get Full-on Café Brulot like in the old days (which we had a very long time ago!) would be appreciated.
