Cafe Beaujolais

I wanted to report back on our delicious dinner last Saturday night at Cafe Beaujolais in Mendocino. We had a perfect table on the back porch. I had the braised short ribs with a red wine sauce with fennel, carrots, sauteed kale and mashed potatoes with horseradish creme. My husband the port chops with butter sauteed chard, and mushroom polenta. We started off our dinner sharing the Thai crab cakes, with a avacado salsa. To go with our meal we had a bottle of Robert Biale zinfandel (fabulous!). Our meal was one of the best I have had in a long time. My only complaint was the service - our servers just didn't seem very interested in their job.
