Recently, on our way to the Outer Banks we had to stay overnight in Norfolk Va. to meet a late flight at the airport. We very fortunately opted to stay at the Airport Hilton and dined at their restaurant, Antiquities. Their Caesar Salad was prepared by the maitre d' at tableside using mortar and pestle to combine the garlic, salt etc. A just coddled egg was cracked onto the salad, whole anchovies were used, not paste, a lemon half was squeezed and Parmesan was freshly grated onto it and then gently tossed. It was PERFECTION ! Has anyone else down there had the pleasure of tasting it?
