I just made cabbage rolls, Hungarian style, from a recipe I just love. After peeling off the twelve leaves needed for the stuffed cabbage, I am left with about half a head of parboiled, cored, white cabbage. What to do? I don't feel like corned beef, can't do a slaw with the cabbage partially cooked, the interesting looking recipes I am seeing on Google seem to involve red cabbage or Asian cabbage. Could be persuaded to try a soup if it was something other than the standard chicken stock/canned tomatoes/chopped carrots kind I am finding. Maybe a casserole? Would be happy with a mostly vegetable side dish or cabbage mixed in with meat or chicken as a main course.
