I work in Century City, and so have the distict displeasure of always being dragged to Patina Group's C2 for business lunches, particularly when colleagues are short on time, as it is immediately downstairs from the building.
I am astonished that this place seems not to get a single thing right. Every dish that I have had, and it's probably around 6-7 right now, has ranged from mediocre to inedible. Roast chicken, pan fried fish, mushroom ravioli, caesar salad, jumbo shrimp spring roll, you name it, they've massacred it. Their appetizers are a bit better - french fries, calamari, tomato mozzarella salad, but still. How can a place associated with Patina (which has a decent rep) that doesn't come cheap so consistently fail to put out a decent dish? Why does the food police not shut this place down?
My plea to you, fellow CH's is to help me navigate this minefield. I know I will be dragged there again. Is there anything worthwhile on or off the menu? Any special tips in ordering? Or should I eat beforehand. Thanks!
